20 Years + Greatest Filmmaker of our time - George Lucas blows = Good Movie!

[23 Jun 2005 | Thursday]

Collectively, fans have been awaiting Romero's fourth installment to the Dead series for the better part of literally 20 years. Sure, Day wasn't the best way to leave us hanging, but even God is allowed to fuck up from time to time. And it wasn't even that Day was the worst movie. It was damn good for a zombie flick, but Romero, with all of his meaning and social context, could have done so much better. Then again, I could have just missed the point completely.
Now, as the hours tick away, I look forward with ever-widening eyes at what could possibly be the movie to end all movies (for this summer at least). I go with no less than the highest of expectations and pray to the Lord that Romero didn't completely miss the mark on this one. I hope he hasn't pulled a Lucas and blown the goat like a monye-grubbing whore... the kind of goat blowing, whore grubbing, stink pot that George Lucas is!! Ya hear that Dorian?? You can tell George Lucas that Ronnie Cordova says he's gay!!
Okay, sorry for that... I want to see Land of the Dead. I hope it will rock. I've been looking forward to this for a very long time, so let's just hope it's all it's cracked up to be. Oh, and I'll be back here to post a review as soon as I get back tonight.
