Back up in your ass with the Resurection....

[06 Jan 2006 | Friday]

Just a bit of random information to start off my glorious return to the world of the internets: They're doing a remake of the original freaky flick, "The hills have eyes". I'd encourage you to check out the trailer (link above) and tell me what cha think. It really comes off, to me, as another one of those flicks that supposed to take place in the 70's. They all have the trailer that starts with slow sweeping shots and a mellow song in the background (see: High Tension, Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, and many many others). So yeah, it's unoriginal in that sense, but here's what gets me: it's Fox Searchlight. That right there translates to a semi-indie flick and not just another crappy corporate bomb waiting to happen. Then again we could simply be looking at a script and cast that were so bad that all of the studios turned it down for a big-budget and so they HAD to go indie. You make the call. I'm willing to give it a shot, but I also dragged my ever-forgiving friend Donovan to see Jason X in theatres, so I really have no credibility at all.

Number 2: It's my sister's birthday today! She's turning the big 2-2. Gettin' old there, Michelle. -Anyway though, we're going out to dinner tonight, to be followed by a viewing of Hostel. Anyone interested in joining us for that should just call my cell or message me here, though I don't know how often I'll check out myspace as the day goes on.

Okay, so the Cabin Fever thing sucks. I mean, the movie wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece of the horror genre. Back to the movie though, tonight at the Arclight is what I'm shooting for. So be there or be square!

Lastly, I gotta say it's just good to be home. I think my next few blogs are gonna get a bit personal as I really miss being able to just get shit off my chest and more than anywhere else, this is the best place to do it.

PS- The Cave is going to be doing a masquerade ball sort of thing on the 14th in celebration of the full moon. It could be sweet.
